The Ranger 33 "Raving Madness" was added to the SRM fleet in May 2015. It is hull number 181 of the Ranger 33 model series which was deigned by Gary Mull in 1969 largely under the CCA rule. It was built in 1976 by Bangor Punta (a Greenwich, CT based conglomerate that acquired Jensen Marine of Costa Mesa, CA). The boat was formerly called "La Linda" and was sailed on Lake Michigan by two previous owners. The most recent owner had the boat for 17 years with very light use over the past ten years. "Raving Madness" is undergoing a major renovation with the addition of new sails, electronics, and rigging - with an objective to get the boat in better than "as new" condition. In the 1970s, the owner of "Raving Madness" sailed on two other Ranger 33s on Long Island Sound - "Blue Fox" and "Tortuga", both out of Oyster Bay, NY
