Fun but challenging week. Boat showed good, competitive speed downwind - topping out at 20.1 knots. However, starts were mixed, and upwind speed was off the usual pace. Also, found ourselves on the wrong side of the course more than a few times.
Overall, a very fund boat to sail. Lots of work to do to improve performance and get her up to typical SRM results.

Unfortunately, hit with a substantial ratings adjustment for PHRF. Data showed J/125 faster by only about 45 seconds per hour as compared to a J/122. However, PHRF Ratings adjustments committee set J/125 rating at 5-7 minutes faster per hour. 1st over the line in all races, but a real struggle to do well on corrected time. Assembled all race data and sent in to race management to hopefully have more fair racing in future events. That said, unlikely to compete in PHRF so long as ratings not realistic.

2013 Key West Race Week. SRM competed in the Swan 42 Class. We showed good speed, but ended up on the wrong side of the course a few times. We lost to 3rd on a tiebreaker.
