NHYC / SDYC Islands Race

Feb 21-22, 2020 |
SRM VII (Swan 601)
1st
1st in Class (3); Also corrected ahead of all TP52s (Class 2). Overall, this was a smaller boat race as the larger classes parked up a few times with large wind holes along the course.
Started in light winds which quickly went very light when a fog bank came in. Large wind hole around the west end of Catalina, and larger wind hole in the lee of San Clemente Island. Once past that lee, reasonably consistent breeze out of 160-180 at 11-15 knots.
Started at 1pm Friday, and finished at 2:20 am on Saturday morning.
