SRM VIII (C&C 30OD) (C&C 30 OD)
2nd (out of 5)
2nd
Tie for 2nd place (no 1st place boat which is technically correct scoring) among the C&C 30 ODs. We were first across the line but took a scoring penalty for an alleged p/s. Two other boats had hailed foul (to each other, not involving us). Neither took a scoring penalty and they dropped the protest. oh well.

SRM VIII (C&C 30OD) (C&C 30 OD)
3rd (out of 7)
3rd
14 mile race around the Island. SRM led for the first 2/3 of the race, and then sailed directly into a wind hole. Sea breeze filled in from other side, allowing class to go around us. Another re-start near the finish allowed SRM to claw back into 3rd.

First race for the new C&C 30 OD "Stark Raving Mad, VIII". Only second full day on the boat. Boat showed good performance potential in light and fluky winds. Started late so played catch-up the entire race.
A true delight to sail

SRM VII (Swan 601)
2nd
SRM took a 2nd in the 2014 NYYC Around the Island Race. It was very challenging conditions – light, fluky winds with at times the breeze completely shutting off. We raced against a very fast, competitive class of TP52s to a custom JV 68 to the Reichel-Pugh 90’ "Rambler". The 601 was the slowest rated boat in our class. At one point in the race about 1/4 mile from the finish, we were ahead of everyone boat for boat.

SRM VI (Swan 42) (Club Swan 42)
1st
1st in Class in the NYYC Swan 42 Class. Breezy race with winds starting out at 20-23 knots and reaching 28 knots at the top (windward mark). The course was reverse (counterclockwise) around the island. Toward the bottom (leeward) mark, the wind decreased became very shift and puffy. We were able to hold on to our lead ahead of Arethusa and Blaser.
