Stark Raving Mad X (J/100)
2nd (out of 8)
2nd
2nd in PHRF 1 on the 24+ mile course running counter-clockwise around Shelter Island. Lost to 1st by only 28 seconds over a three-hour race. Could have easily made that up if we had a reaching spinnaker (A3 for the J/100) OR simply local knowledge on currents toward the finish. Fund race and learned the J/100 can plane.
Note: Racing cancelled on Sunday at 3pm - no wind

SRM IX (Carkeek 47)
3rd (out of 7)
3rd
3rd in this fun race around Shelter Island Race. Plenty of wind for this event - though patchy. Always challenging with depth issues. The TP52 who won is the former "Spookie" a super-charged 52 with a deeper keel and taller rig. Her rating was somehow -81 for this event, when she typically rates -93 to -103, so near impossible to beat.

2nd in Class in this day of buoy racing on Gardiner's Bay. Sea Breeze came in early with 10-12 knots for race 1 at noon and increasing to 17-19 for race 4 by 3:15pm. Some great racing but tough to beat the former super-charged TP52 "Spookie" who rated -81 for this event when she typically rates -93 to -103.

3rd
3rd in Class 1 in this ~23 mile classic around Shelter Island (NY). Had to stay well away from shoal areas causing us to sail a much longer course - probably two miles more - as compared to all other boats.
Very fun event, fun race.

2nd in Class 1 in the Shelter Island YC Anniversary Regatta (Shelter Island, NY). Four buoy races in one day. All held in Gardiner's Bay. Missed out on 1st by one point and seven seconds (race 4). Plenty of opportunities to have made that up. For example, had one major shift not occurred for the boats behind us in race 4, we would have won. Still, a very fun event, well run, and good, deserving competition.

2019 Shelter Island YC Race Week - Friday, Aug 3 Around the Island Race
Managed a 3rd in a very light (often no wind) and challenging (strong adverse current) race.
Due to light air, the class was only able to get about 1/3 of the way around the island (to buoy 16), then a "R" flag at the mark to reverse course.

2019 Shelter Island Yacht Club Race Week- Anniversary Regatta - Sat, Aug 3.
Took a 2nd in Class 1. # buoy races (twice around, 1.5 mile legs) with winds from 7 knots to 16 knots. Smallest boat in the class - struggled upwind versus the larger boats, made up much of the time on the downwind leg only when planing

"SRM VIII" the C&C 30OD took a 1st in PHRF 1 in this exciting, challenging race around Shelter Island. The ~22 mile race was run clockwise around the island. Puffy wind with gusts up to 22knots, and light spots down to 8knots. Some places where wind against current produced washing machine like surface conditions. Beautiful course, area.
Completed the race in about 2.5 hours.

SRM VII, the C&C 30OD, took a 1st in PHRF 1 in this two-race series of buoy racing in Gardiner's Bay off of Shelter Island, NY. The 1st start was delayed by ~two hours due to a storm system that came through. Once that cleared, two windward-leeward races where held in conditions with very puffy winds from 8knots to 17 knots. a few planning conditions allowed the boat to hit downwind speeds over 15 knots.
Other boats in class included a Trip 43, two Swan 42, and a J/111.
