2nd in CSA 1. Thrilled with this result given CSA rated our Carkeek 47 faster than a TP52 - if only we were. The team did a great job sailing the boat with very few errors across long races and in many cases challenging racecourse. Sea states on the eastern side of St. Barth can be rough - sailing through a washing machine. We managed to beat the Swan 50 twice across the line and would / should have been four times. All in all a great outcome and moral victory.

1st in "MiniMaxi" class of 60 footers. Across five days and six races, we won five races and took a 2nd in one race. Races from 18 to 30+ miles each day - around beautiful St. Barth and adjacent islands. Very wind for 1st three days of racing - 18-24+ knots. race days two saw somewhat lighter conditions with last race having variable conditions. Outstanding team work!

Pleased with a 3rd in Class in a tough class - racing against 80 and 90 footers, with the new "Rambler 88" and "Comanche" (10')0 on the same start line and course. We were the small boat (by far) at 60'. Over four races, we took a 3-5-2-3 resulting in a 3rd in Class. Conditions were moderate (11-15 knots) to breezy (18-22) knots over the four race days with very lumpy seas each day. On the days where the RC headed us out around the Eastern end of the island, the seas were even more confused and lumpy. St. Barth's and shore events great - in particular the lay day at Nikki Beach.

SRM IV (J/125) took a 1st in a very competitive Spinnaker Class 1. This was the first time that SRM competed in the "Voiles de St. Barths". The "Voiles" was composed of four days of racing in St Barth's (French Caribbean). Race Days 1 and 2 presented light to moderate breeze. There was a layday on Thursday where the crew enjoyed an afternoon at "Nikki Beach". Race Days 3 & 4 arrived with 20-25 knots of wind with gusts to over 30. SRM IV displayed her fastest speed yet - downwind with an A3 spinnaker at 22+ knots with long blasts at 19-20 knots of boat speed. Yet, it was the upwind legs where the J/125 showed her differentiation from the class. With seas as high as 7', SRM took a pounding but held on to win with 6 points (2-2-1-1), as compared to the second place boat "Lazy Dog", a well sailed Melges 32 with 7 points (1-1-2-3). There were two races where all spinnaker classes were on the same course - encompassing 35 boats. SRM took a 3rd overall across these two races, beating all boats except two grand prix TP52s. This event is a definite for 2015.
