2024 - San Diego Yacht Club "Hot Rum" - Race 1 Result

1st in Class 6 and 1st overall (out of 128 boats) for Race 1. Very shifty conditions at the start with breeze picking up to 16-17 TWS as we passed Point Loma. Breeze lightened at the bottom mark - good decision to go with the L1 for the upwind beat. Good decision to go left after the bottom mark. Breeze picked up again at Point Loma. Very good decision to get to the Port / Point Loma side on the way in. Need to watch and stay clear of the Columbia 50 at the start.
